The NHLI Blog was launched as part of the National, Heart & Lung Institute’s Athena SWAN programme. The blog features posts on topics of interest to staff and students of NHLI (a department of Imperial College London) ranging from articles on research, events and work/life balance through to awards and other news of interest to the NHLI community. The blog will also cover topics directly related to Athena SWAN such as training courses, news articles and videos.

Please get blogging with us! We welcome blog posts from all staff and students within NHLI to add to those the Athena Self-Assessment Team will be contributing. If you would like to get involved in blogging for NHLI, please get in touch with Dr Maija Maskuniitty (aino-maija.maskuniitty08@imperial.ac.uk). Your blog post can be on anything related to Athena SWAN or work/life balance, for example, an interesting article you’ve read or an event you’ve been to. You can also blog about upcoming events, training courses, or anything else you think might be of interest or use to NHLI staff and students.
